Instead Of A Ticket, Cop Gives Driver Ride To Job Interview

Getting pulled over by the police is never fun, but when you’re late and driving illegally? It’s even worse. But when it happened to Ka’Shawn Baldwin as he was headed to a job interview, the officer surprised him by not giving him a ticket and offering him a ride instead.

The 22-year-old man from Cahokia, Illinois was pulled over by Officer Roger Gemoules for driving with expired license plates and to make it worse, he admits he didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Baldwin was honest with the officer, explaining that he only borrowed his friend’s car and got behind the wheel because he was on the way to a job interview and had no other transportation.

After hearing his story, Officer Gemoules simply asked if he could give him a ride to the interview. “He was very respectful when I pulled him over and you could just tell,” Gemoules explains. “I could feel that he really was wanting to get to this job interview.” Baldwin ended up being just a few minutes late, but he still got the job, thanks to this kind move by Officer Gemoules.
