UPDATE 01/29/2020: Michael DENNIS is in custody. He turned himself into Ward County Jail. Donald COOPER still has an active warrant out for his arrest.
01/17/2020 UPDATE: Warrants have been issued for Donald Lee COOPER Jr and Michael Lamart DENNIS II for their involvement in the death of Dominck STEPHENS on January 12th. Warrants included are Class AA Felony Accomplice to Murder, Class A Felony Attempted Murder, Class C Felony Reckless Endangerment and Class C Felony Terrorizing.
As of now, the whereabouts of DENNIS and COOPER are unknown. COOPER is described as 27 yr old black male, 6’1” 276 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. DENNIS is described as a 24 yr old black male, 6’2” 163 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. We sincerely appreciate the community’s assistance this past week however as of now we will not be releasing any additional information in regards to details of this case. The judge presiding over this case has issued an order restricting extrajudicial (out of court) comments.
