The City of Minot is assuming management responsibilities of the two downtown parking structures.
Control of the Central and Renaissances parking structures was turned over to the city by the developer and former management company Cypress Development, LLC.
As part of the transition, the City invites the community tp park in the structures free of charge for the next month. Current parking pass holders will be credited with one month of free parking and the gates at both structures will remain open during the free month.
City Manager Tom Barry says adjustments will be made to the two structures including a structural and conditional assessment, ckear-up work and making security improvements. Both structures will be restriped later this spring or summer. New signage will also be installed. Barry also says the city is committed to seeing the commercial and residential portions of the project completed, including the construction of low to moderate income housing units.
