Grant helps pay for new ambulance

The Rural Community Grant Fund or the RCGF, was started in 2012. Today, over $4 million and 250+ grants have been awarded to cities and towns impacted by oil exploration. Grant money has been given to several organizations and groups including medical and emergency services, multiple family housing projects, child-care facilities, educational program and many others.

On Tuesday at Farm Credit Services in Minot, the RCGF presented a check of $26,203 to the Trinity Health Foundation that funded part of the cost of a new ambulance.

Members of the RCGF also presented a $20,000 check to the Crosby Rural Fire Protection District to help organize a new fire department.

RCGF members include Farm Credit Services of North Dakota, Farm Credit Services of Mandan and AgriBank.
