Marijuana Arrest

Minot Police Department

On February 8, 2017 at 11:31 AM, a business in South Minot contacted dispatch stating a package containing marijuana had been delivered to them. As police arrived on scene a male subject, later identified as Iman Kadkhodaei-Khalfi, was observed exiting the business and ran to a rental vehicle parked in the area. Police approached the vehicle, driven by Dao Nguyen, and both subjects were detained without incident. The males had no connection to the local business and the package now in their possession contained about ten pounds of marijuana.

The investigation also revealed Nguyen was in possession of Schedule II Drugs-Oxycodone (C Felony) and Schedule IV Drugs - Xanax (C Felony). Nguyen was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver (B Felony) and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (C felony). Nguyen also had an extraditable warrant for Conspiracy of Marijuana Delivery and Money Laundering out of Arizona. Khalfi was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent of Deliver (B Felony). Both were taken to Ward County Jail.
