Broadway Bridge Reconstruction Project: Traffic moves to southbound bridge

The Broadway Bridge Project traffic flow will be shifting by the end of the day, as crews are set to close down the east side of the Central Avenue intersection today and start demolition soon on the northbound bridge.

Lunda Construction and their subcontractors plan on switching Broadway traffic over to head-to-head flow on the southbound bridge by the end of the day. Along with this change in traffic flow, intersection signals at Broadway and Central Avenue will be coming down and this intersection will be closed to eastbound and westbound traffic using Central. One lane in each direction for Broadway will remain open to drivers.

Along with intersection closures and detour routes on the south side of the bridge, drivers can anticipate changes to the north side as well, as turning left off of Broadway on to 4th Avenue NW will not be an option during construction.

Drivers are encouraged to use appropriate caution in the construction zone, especially as large equipment and crews will be working in these areas. If you have questions or concerns you can find more information at the City’s Website, http://www.minotnd.org/
