Things to know about this game By Jeffrey Flanagan / MLB.com
• Per Statcast, Kennedy generated swinging strikes with only 5.3 percent of his pitches in his last outing, his second-lowest single-game rate in the past three seasons. But he still allowed just one run over seven innings, in part because the Rangers hit the ball 95 mph or harder with just four of their 20 batted balls.
• Mike Moustakas has owned Gibson, going 8-of-23 (.348) with two doubles and a home run.
• Twins' Eduardo Escobar is 7-of-16 (.438) lifetime off Kennedy.
