Bus Driver Saves Student From Choking

A school bus driver in Corunna, Michigan is being called a hero for saving one of her students who was choking on the way home from school. Jeffrey Sexton was eating Skittles candies when one got stuck and he couldn’t breathe.

As the 11-year-old was gasping for air, his cousin alerted the bus driver, Lynn Ingram. She pulled over and performed the Heimlich maneuver on Jeffrey, dislodging the Skittle and clearing his throat.

"I did my job as a bus driver, as a mom, as a decent human being,” Ingram explains. “I'm not a hero.” But Jeffrey and his dad Jeff know that her quick response saved him, so she’ll always be a hero to them!
