Nikki and Christian Hiciu [[HE-chew]] thought they were sharing their story in a video about struggling with student loan debt, but their doorbell rang and reps from their bank were there to surprise them with a check for $37,000 to help pay off Nikki’s student loans.
The Cincinnati couple had recently signed up for Fifth Third Bank’s Momentum app, which rounded up all their change to put toward the $47,000 in student loans they’re struggling to pay off. And they had no idea they were entered into a contest because of it, so this win was a wonderful surprise.
"I am shocked! My heart is beating out of my chest,” Nikki says. “I don't know, it’s unreal!"
