Monday, February 23rd:
If you live in the Carpio area, come on down to the Senior Center from 1:30 – 6:45 to make a lifesaving donation. Doctors routinely match blood with a patient’s blood type, but in emergencies, type O is the most relied upon when there’s no time to test the patient.
Tuesday, February 24th:

Wednesday, February 25th:
Mikinok has taken the lead on the blood drives in Belcourt! The drive today will be held at LaDots and run from 12:00 – 4:00. Some patients need help from multiple generous donors, like Chris, who had transfusions before, during and after a liver transplant in 2022. He wants donors to know he would not be alive if not for generous blood donors and he takes every opportunity he can get to share his gratitude and encourage others to give. Thursday, February 26th:
The Leeds High School Student Council will be hosting a blood drive today from 3:00 – 7:00. You can call the school at 701-466-2461 to make an appointment. Poor winter weather conditions since the start of the year have caused blood drive cancellations, preventing donors from giving more than 2,000 blood and platelet donations with Vitalant. But patients’ need for blood doesn’t stop for storms.

The Metegoshe Lion’s Club will be hosting a drive at the Bottineau Community Ambulance from 12:00 – 6:00 in their training room. Vitalant staff will be there to accept your donations. The Minot Rural Fire Department is currently seeking volunteers, no prior experience is necessary. Our firefighters are required to participate in department trainings and are expected to obtain related emergency services certifications such as CPR, First Aid, Auto Extrication, Hazmat Awareness, Firefighter 1, etc. New members must complete a probationary period of 6 months and complete basic entry level qualifications before their probationary period expires. It is very imperative that you consider the time commitment involved with being an active volunteer firefighter before you apply. Our required scheduled meetings are the second and last Wednesday of every month. We invite you to schedule a visit with a department officer or senior firefighter to discuss what is involved and what you can expect as a new member. We encourage you to visit with us, and tour the station before making your decision to apply for membership. If you would like to tour our station or would like more information please contact us. The North Dakota Student Art Show will be April 3rd through the 28th, open to all North Dakota Students K-12. Over 100 Awards Entry deadline is April 1st, judging will be April 4th, exhibit dates are April 7th through the 30th at the Taube Museum of Art in Minot.
