Boy Scout Troop 425 will be holding their annual car wash at Congregational United Church of Christ, Saturday July 11th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm where free will donations will be accepted, a yard sale will also be going on at the same time. Proceeds to help scouts with camping expenses.

First Lutheran Church in Minot invites you to swing by their parking lot this Wednesday (July 8th) for their ice cream social and parking lot worship with the ice cream social from 6:00 to 7:00 pm and worship from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. The ice cream social is being hosted by the First Lutheran Youth.

The Minot Symphony and Taube Museum of Art invite to you to a 3D Musical Virtual Paint Party, Wednesday July 29th. The SubZero Winds will stream the music while you create your abstract painting from the comfort of your home. Painting kits are available at the Taube and must be purchased no later than July 13th. The Souris Valley Shelter is busy planning their annual Chasin' Tail 5k/10k run/walk to be held on August 1, 2020 . Those wanting to participate should go to https://runsignup.com/Race/ND/Minot/ChasinTail, and register by July 31st. Registration is $35 for 13 and up, $15 for children 8-12, and free for children under age 8 and dogs. Participants will receive a t-shirt, and if over 21 will receive a free pint of an Atypical specialty brew dedicated to SVAS. The run will start at the shelter and end at Atypical.

Within My Reach is a relationship skills and decision making program for individuals seeking more enriching relationships with the people that matter in their lives-every Monday through August 10th this class will be from 9:30a until 11:30a followed by a light lunch. Please register today if you would like to attend. This is a FREE event hosted by Dakota Hope, and will be held at Our Lady Of Grace Church. Onsite childcare will be provided if needed and if Covid-19 rules permit.

The Minot Public Library is open to the public, but with limited hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Saturdays 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Patrons under the age of 16 are welcome from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM but must be accompanied by an adult. Public Computers are available by appointment only. Call 701-852-1045 for more info.

North Dakota state law requires youth ages 12-15 who want to operate a boat or personal watercraft by themselves with at least a 10 horsepower motor must first pass the state’s boating basics course. All boaters are encouraged to take the course. Some insurance companies give adult boat owners who pass the course a discount on boat insurance. Ward County 4-H Achievement Days is postponed to July 13th thru the 18th, 2020.4-H Show will be July 18th, 2020 with a location change to Minot Trail Riders. The Ward County Shootout Livestock Show will be July 17th, 2020 at the NDSF grounds with entry deadline July 2nd, 2020.
