Hello Ward County 4-H Families,
Ward County 4-H Achievement Days is postponed to July 13 – 18, 2020.
o Our 4-H Horse Show is postponed to July 18, 2020 and the location is changed to Minot Trail Riders.
o FairEntry.com registration deadline is extended to June 1, 2020.
The Ward County Shootout Livestock Show is postponed to July 17, 2020 at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds with the entry deadline extended to July 2, 2020.
We realize many of our members might have prior commitments on the postponed dates or may feel uncomfortable attending; therefore, the Policy Manual requirement “to exhibit at Achievement Days to complete your 4-H year” has been suspended for 2020.
As you know, there are many state regulations and NDSU guidelines in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus – so 2020 Ward County 4-H Achievement Days will be different.
• Static judging will be conducted similar to how the North Dakota State Fair (NDSF) conducts static judging. We will not have in-person interview judging, instead each exhibit requires a Judging Form.
o Since the 2020 NDSF was cancelled, if your 2020 Achievement Days static exhibit earns a blue ribbon, it will qualify for the 2021 NDSF.
o Your static exhibit may be shown at either 2020 or 2021 Achievement Days.
• Beef, Dairy, Goat, Horse, Pet, Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep, and Swine shows will be conducted in-person with modifications to accommodate social distancing regulations.
o We strongly encourage only immediate family attend the 4-H these shows.
• Further details about Achievement Days will be provided in emails and posted on the Ward County 4-H Facebook page.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact the office.
