Fire destroyed a boat and damaged a garage in southwest Minot early Monday morning. Minot Fire Department crews
were called at 7:50 a.m. to 1625 13th St. SW for a garage on fire with a boat on fire in the driveway. When crews arrived,
they found a small fire in the garage, which was quickly extinguished. The boat fire was then extinguished, but the boat was
destroyed by fire. The garage suffered minor fire damage and some smoke damage. The home was assessed, and no
hazards or damage were found. A fire watch was posted at the residence until 8 p.m. No residents or firefighters were
injured. The cause of fire is under investigation by Minot Fire Department Fire Prevention.
