Airport operations manager Stoddard earns national accreditation

Deanna Stoddard, airport operations manager at Minot International Airport, has earned the Accredited Airport Executive distinction from the American Association of Airport Executives.

Stoddard completed three phases of the accreditation process, including passing a 180-item examination, fulfilling a written requirement, and demonstrating in a final interview her knowledge of airport management, business administration, and general transportation economics.

“We’re so proud of Deanna. Among airport professionals, this accreditation is really the gold standard and one relatively few attain in their careers,” said Rick Feltner, director of Minot International Airport. “To have someone with the initials AAE after their name working here is impressive.”

Less than 10 percent of the AAAE’s eligible members throughout the country hold the Accredited Airport Executive distinction. Founded in 1928, the AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing employees who work at public use commercial and general aviation airports. Its 7,000-plus members represent 870 airports and hundreds of companies that support the airport industry.
