City Council votes to offer City Manager job to Harold Stewart

The Minot City Council voted unanimously Thursday to offer the position of City Manager to Harold L. Stewart II.

The Council will present a formal offer to Stewart on Friday. He is the current city manager in Warrensburg, Mo.

Stewart, Shawn Henessee, and Ray Agbabiaka were interviewed over two days last week in Minot. All three candidates were interviewed by the City Council and by a separate panel of City of Minot department heads and community stakeholders. The candidates also took part in a virtual open house to answer questions from the public.

“This was not an easy decision for the Council to make,” Mayor Shaun Sipma said. “We had three exceptionally qualified finalists. After researching their backgrounds and interviewing the candidates in person, we’re confident Harold will be a great fit in Minot as we move forward.”

Video of Stewart’s interview with the Council and his introductory interview are available on the City’s website at www.minotnd.org/citymanager.
