On July 3rd, 2021, Minot police arrested Bowe Getzlaff for two bench warrants for failure to appear and one on count of Fleeing a Peace Officer in a motor vehicle after he fled from a traffic stop.
An Officers observed Bowe Getzlaff driving and knew he had two active arrest warrants. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, Getzlaff fled at a high rate of speed. The traffic stop was immediately terminated, and officers did not pursue further. A short time later a citizen alerted the officer to a traffic accident in the area. The officer discovered that Getzlaff struck another motor vehicle in his attempt to flee.
Getzlaff was placed under arrest by the Minot Police Department for the two warrants, both class – B misdemeanors, and for fleeing in a motor vehicle, a class C-Felony. Getzlaff’s passenger, Corey Berg, fled from the vehicle and was not located. Berg has warrants for probation violation and failure to appear x 2.
ND Highway Patrol investigated the traffic crash.
There were minor injuries reported by Getzlaff and he was treated on scene before he was transported. The driver of the other vehicle also had minor injuries and was transported by Community Ambulance to Trinity Hospital and was released shortly after.
