David Diaz, a 38 year old inmate housed in the Ward County Detention Center, has been charged with terrorizing after investigators discovered he placed a call to the Ward County State's Attorney's Office and made a bomb and assassination threat to staff and district court judges.

Today's bomb threat that prompted the evacuation of two Ward County Buildings has already been cleared by arrest. David Diaz, a 38 year old inmate housed in the Ward County Detention Center, has been charged with terrorizing after investigators discovered he placed a call to the Ward County State's Attorney's Office and made a bomb and assassination threat to staff and district court judges. Diaz was already being held on multiple felony offenses and remains in custody.

1:07 p.m.: The courthouse has been cleared and officials are now in the process of re-opening the buildings.

1:00 p.m.: Authorities are still checking out the reported bomb threat. The buildings remain evacuated.

11:45 a.m.: The Ward County Courthouse and Administration Building were evacuated following reports of a bomb threat.
