Saturday Afternoon Fire Damages Home In Northeast Minot
The Minot Fire Department was dispatched to 1129 6th St. NE at 12:20 p.m. for a report of a fire that started in the home's laundry room. Firefighters arrived on the scene within four minutes of the initial dispatch. They found heavy smoke coming from the front and rear of the home. The firefighters were able to enter the home through the rear entrance. They immediately went to the lower level, where the laundry room was located, and extinguished the fire. Four Engines, one ladder, and one command vehicle responded to the fire. One cat perished in the fire. No other injuries were reported; the fire is still under investigation
