Jake Owen debuted a new sentimental ballad on Friday (September 12), days after posting a stunning acoustic rendition on Instagram.
Owen wrote “Long Time Lovin' You” with Shooter Jennings and Kendell Marvel. He recently said that it “tells the story of longtime love, and how I’ll love you always, forever.” It’s the latest track to release from the country star’s upcoming Dreams To Dream album, a 13-track record that’s due later this year. Owen previously shared the title track and “Them Old Love Songs” featuring Savannah Conley — a nod to late legend Waylon Jennings — from the project. Owen referred to the Waylon tribute as “a soulful new chapter in the Dreams to Dream saga,” when he announced its release date over the summer.
“I’ve been doing something special over the last few months that has been an absolute dream for me,” Owen shared in a post earlier this year. “I can’t wait to share the journey, the story, and what came of it. I’m really grateful for the people who believe in me and the friends I have. I'm so fired up to share this with you. Thanks to my friend [photographer Ryan Smith] for capturing moments of my life that are ingrained in my mind.”
