On January 4, 2018 at 1:37 AM the Minot Police and Fire Departments responded to 122 South Main St. for a report of smoke in the building. Upon arrival police officers determined that the business (Gourmet Chef) had been broken into. The investigation showed that property inside the business was damaged and a small fire was started. A short time later officers searching the area located a male rummaging through a vehicle in a nearby parking garage. The male was identified as 23 year old Anthony Carl Frederick of New Town, ND and he was subsequently arrested in connection to the burglary of Gourmet Chef and entery into the vehicle that did not belong to him. Frederick is charged with Burglary (Class C Felony), Criminal Mischief (Class B Felony), Endangerment by Fire (B Felony) and Unlawful Entry into Motor Vehicle (C Felony). Frederick is being held at Ward County Jail awaiting an initial appearance.
