Assault on Police Officer (Sept 15, 2018)--Minot

Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 3900 S. Broadway, for a report of a possible intoxicated subject drinking in a vehicle in the parking lot of the store.  Officers arrived, located the vehicle, and made contact with the registered owner, David Bad Brave. Bad Brave was showing multiple warrants from Burleigh County, and the Mandan Police Department. Bad Brave resisted arrest and fought with officers before being placed under arrest. Once in custody, Bad Brave was transported to the Ward County Jail, where while he was being booked into custody for the warrants, Bad Brave assaulted the arresting officer. Bad Brave was booked into custody for his warrants, Preventing Arrest, and Simple Assault on a Peace Officer.
