Media Release From CP Rail
- The CP Holiday Train is coming to Minot on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The show will take place at the Main Street railroad crossing, next to the old Soo Line depot. It's a great way to celebrate the holidays and help your neighbors in need. All proceeds will go to the Minot Area Homeless Coalition.
- CP reminds attendees to stay safely back from the tracks. Railroad property typically extends 50 feet on either side of the track, and rail equipment overhangs each rail by more than 3 feet.
- Never try to beat a train over a crossing, and always obey crossing warning devices. Trains can't stop quickly.
