Minot Police, Fire and Bomb Squad Responds To Explosive Device In Minot

The Minot Police Department, Minot Fire Department and the Minot Area Bomb Squad responded to the report of an explosion in SE Minot Wednesday, August 5th at 4:56 AM. Arriving officers located the scene of the explosion outside of a local home. Further examination revealed an intact improvised explosive device (IED). The Minot Area Bomb Squad was dispatched and rendered the IED safe. The Minot Police Department is investigating this incident as endangerment by an explosive device. The home sustained minor damage, and the occupants were not injured. This appears to be a targeted incident and not a random act.
