Stolen vehicle investigation leads to vehicle pursuit late Tuesday evening in Minot

On Tuesday, April 9, shortly after 11 p.m. officers were dispatched for reports of a suspected stolen vehicle. The vehicle owner reported to dispatch that someone was driving their vehicle, and they were following the vehicle, providing location updates to dispatch. Officers located the vehicle in the 300 block of 3rd St. SE and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Danielle R. Reinhardt, 41-year-old, of Minot, refused to pull over inciting the pursuit. Eventually, the vehicle ran out of fuel in McHenry County, and Reinhardt was taken into custody with assistance from Ward County Sheriff’s Office, Bottineau County Sheriff’s Office, McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Reinhardt is charged with Class A Misdemeanor – Driving Under Suspension (Fifth Offense) and Class A Misdemeanor – Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle (First Offense). Reinhardt was transported to the Ward County Jail. The stolen vehicle case was under investigation at the time of the pursuit. Currently, there are no additional charges regarding the theft, as the victim has declined further prosecution.
